Frequently Asked Questions About Admissions & Supportive Housing
We know that starting a new chapter in supportive housing comes with questions. Whether you’re wondering how the admissions process works, what to expect day-to-day, or how we support your recovery, we’re here to provide clear answers. Below are some of the most common questions we receive from future residents and their families.
If you don’t see your question here, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
What is a sober living house and how is it different from supportive housing?
A sober living house offers a substance-free, peer-supported environment to help individuals transition from inpatient care back to daily life. At Just Breathe Recovery Community, our supportive housing goes beyond sober living by adding structured routines, mental health support, life skills training, and case management to help residents maintain long-term stability
How do I apply for supportive housing in Nashville?
Start by filling out our online application or calling for a quick phone screening. We’ll review your current needs, recovery status, and goals, then walk you through the next steps.
Do I need to complete detox or treatment before applying?
No. While many residents transition from detox or inpatient care, we also support individuals who need structure and accountability but aren’t currently in treatment.
What does the admissions process involve?
The process includes a phone screening, a clinical review (if needed), a short intake interview, and setting your move-in date. Most residents are placed within 1-3 days.
What does supportive housing cost, and is insurance accepted?
Our program is private-pay with weekly rates starting at $250 with a $100 application fee. While we don’t bill insurance for housing, clinical services (like therapy) through our partners may be covered by insurance.
